Grit: The Art of Perseverance
WELCOME!
Introduction: This is a study of GRIT so students will recognize it in themselves , sstrengthen it then use it
Description: Students will learn about the components of GRIT :Courage, Resilience, Exellence vs Percfection, Endurence, Conscienttiouness. They will learn what it is, how to spot it in others, while maximizing their own GRIT. They will work to keep this characteristic active in class and extending it beyond school. This project is predominately in the classroom on computers, but other technology will also be used. The collaboration within each team includes the students playing the game Code.org together. Each team is made up of a variety of learners with multiple intelligence for learning. This project will also include special needs learners. All students will play the game as a team. Separately students will journal what they are discovering about GRIT. They will get back together and share their findings with their teammates. The team will then create the final project in the form of an audiovisual presentation for the class. The main purpose of the project is to create self-awareness and to be comfortable with the theory.
